Denise Olson Recognized by Lakes and Pines Community Action Council, Inc.

The Robinson/Anderson Volunteer of the Year award is presented annually to individuals or groups whose volunteerism with Lakes and Pines makes a significant, long-lasting impact in their community.

For more than 14 years, Denise has volunteered with Lakes and Pines's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, helping individuals and families access free, high-quality tax-preparation services.

"Denise's generosity, integrity, and commitment to serving her community make her an extraordinary volunteer and an outstanding candidate for the Volunteer of the Year Award," said Denise Stewart, executive director of Lakes and Pines. "We are honored to recognize her many years of dedicated service and cannot think of anyone more deserving of this recognition."

Denise's extensive knowledge and supportive approach make her a valuable resource to Lakes and Pines volunteers and taxpayers. Over the past five years, Denise has volunteered an average of 70 hours per year with VITA. She also oversees the Lakes and Pines North Branch tax preparation site, ensuring it operates efficiently during tax season, and serves on the Lakes and Pines Board of Directors and several board committees.
